How Expensive is Maintenance On a Solar Power System


There are Two Types of Solar Power Systems:

1) Grid Tied Solar PV System: 

The main components of  grid tied system are solar inverter, solar panels , module mounting structure, ACDB, DCDB, etc. The solar inverters comes with the warranty ogf 5 years which can be extended to 25 years at addition cost. Also the performance warranty of solar panels is for 25 years. So the home solar sytem needs very less maintenance. The only regular maintenance is to clean solar panels once or twice in a month using water.

2) Off Grid Solar PV System: 

The main components of off grid system are solar inverter, solar panels ,battery, module mounting structure, ACDB, DCDB, etc. As it requires battery it needs some maintenance. This can be avoided by using lithium ion battery ot by using gel type battery.
