What are the best types of batteries for off-grid small solar power systems


There are many types for batteries available for off grid solar power systems as follows:

1. Lead acid battery with or without maintenance

2. Lithium ion battery/ LiFePo4 battery

If you have enough space available & cost is concern, you can go with the lead acid battery. If you need light weight option which can give you more energy  & uses less space, you can go for lithium battery. 

The another advantage of lithium battery is that , it can be discharged for 100% unlike lead acid battery which can be used for upto 70% of its rated capacity.
